Jesse E-mail - March 3, 2014

(Jesse's Mission President called us on Friday to let us know that Jesse's companion had been in the hospital all week, so Jesse was there with him.  They said that he was doing good and was being very positive.  Jesse finally got to email this week)

well to start things off yes I'm still in the hospital with my companion:P and you are definatly right about me not liking it because im going crazy!! i wont lie its a pretty nice hospital but i hate being cooped up for 11 days straight with out sunshine or weather or anything. but hey i guess its preparing me in the way of patience. i always thought i had enough patience for everything but man two weeks in the hospital sucks!! today i escaped from the four walls of sickness and got to go out into the real world again. my companion stayed with a brave volunteer in the hospital while i finally got to play some soccer and eat something other than hospital food:D none of the food in there is seasoned or salted or anything haha still no Dr.Pepper and not alot of carne:P

im really happy that there is another temple in arizona! just another one i can go to when i get back! not being able to go to the temple is a bummer, but i swear that time here is different, and it wont stop flying.

i cant believe that anthony is finishing up with his papers!! im so excited to know where he will go! but its a really good feeling to know that our family will have 3 missionaries out at the same time.

i feel bad because there isnt too much to tell other than ive been stuck in the hospital. and if he is in the hospital for two weeks then he has to be sent home and then i will be in an area with a new companion working somewhere that i really dont know:P its kinda exciting to know that anything could happen. either way i will be happy to be out of prison and preaching the word again:) we did have a really good talk with one of the nurses about the church though so we really haven't stopped completely.

i hope everything goes good at home and that you all recieve some rain soon! i pray for you always and love you all!

hola! Que Tal??
my companion says hi! his name is elder Aldana and he is from here, Argentina!
haha he is a really skinny guy but a great missionary! he has really good relationships with the members, haha all 30 of them:P well thirty that are active, this area has a ton of menos activos... less actives! so we work most of the time with them, the first week here in la Florida hasnt been bad but it is a lot different than Parque Baron, its only a two man apartment so that sucks but i will live! bcause it has a lifting set inside!!! so i get to fatten up a little and try and get some muscle back:P other than that nothing out of the ordinary had happened:P a little on the boring side i know but i guess thats life! haha im Happy though! excited to be in this new area and get to know more of gods children. ohh and today i have 7 months in the mission.. crazy!! but im taking it all in and doing me best! thats all i have for this week so i love you all and i hope you like this picture i took with Elder Montano!!!

Jesse E-mail - February 10, 2014

this `week was one of those weeks in the mission that i wont forget. so many great things happened its hard to remember them all. which was a blessing because i really needed to keep my head busier than usual. well this week the rain decided to come back again!! this time is was even harder! outside of the apartment in the street the water was up to our waist!! i have pictures to send but i packed my bags and memory card and i didnt have time to find it before i came to cyber. but i have a picture of two grown men in those really long yellow trench coats, rowing an airup water raft down the street with another man pushing them along ill get those to you next week!! luckily though once again we were on the second story and no water came in. but we did have to help the lady down stairs get everything off the floor so it wouldnt get ruined. the lady even came into our apartment and cooked us lunch which was really weird because we really are not supposed to have any type of girl in our apartment!! it was just one of those moments where i thought i was going to heck because we had a 55 year old woman in our apartment:P the water ended up not draining till about 8 at night so we werent able to do anything all day, so we did the next best thing. Service. we just went around members houses lifting up fridges so they wouldn't get ruined. so we got a good workout too:) and maxi was given the Melchizedek priesthood yesterday!! i got to be present for that. he really is such a god guy and i pray that he serves a mission!! ohh yeah and i finally got moved!! i am now in my second area serving with Elder Aldana! i knew him before but now i get to be his companion. we are serving in the area of La Florida! not sure how the area is quite yet because i only went to the apartment so far:P but i will probably have more to say about it this next week! it was hard to leave parque baron but honestly I'm just ready to go! a new area means a new beginning and i can improve on my weaknesses. I've found that the church is true no matter where you go, it will be the same. but its the people who you share it with that make the most difference.
