Not-So-Weekly of the new guy on the block.

So, we moved and then a week later I had changes. WOOHOO! Well not really but It happened and there is nothing I can do about it.  My new comp is E' Fernelius, (from Midville, Utah)  he is super cool. Its fun to be in a new sector. We are in Miestranza , and it is quiet. We live on the eighth floor of our apartment building. Those big bags where really hard to carry up the stairs, that is if we didn't have an elevator. But before I go into too much detail, I need to tell you what happened last week. We got two people with baptizm dates. It was super cool. Tatiana and her daughter want to get baptized! We  had a leccion on the 5 principles of the Gospel of Christ and we made a diagram like a staircase, and with tears in her eyes she pointed to the steps of baptism and confirmation saying that she knows that those are the steps she needs. It was super cool. This week was also bad. Our golden Investigator Marco turns out to be gay and sleeping with a tryvesty. The weirdest part is that when we met his palolo (boyfriend) I wasn't surprized in the slightest. But to top it all off, the Heshe kissed my hand. It was just nasty. We had to go home and wash our hands after that. E' Beja freaked. and washed his hand off with alchool. Just gross. So that was last week.Monday I said goodbye to everyone, and that sucked. Yesterday we went contacting because the sector is almost like a white-wash, but thats ok, anyways so we went contacting in a newer part that hadn't been touch very much because it is kinda far from our sector. Anyways so we went there and started contacting and we found this lady, her name is Clara and she was super nice and gave us a rundown of all of her neighbors, we also set up another cita with her to come back and get to know her and her family better. So that was the first contact we did. the second contact we did was super cool too. We were walking along and started noticing the numbers for the houses were dates. So like normal missionarys we started trying to find our birthdates. We never found 1995 but we did see a house that was 2012. We decied that 2012 was a good year and to contact it. Well we found an Indian family (from India) who speaks better english then spanish and the father is a Mechanical designer for some company in the states. So we had a whole contact in English and another cita for a week from now. So yeah that was cool. and I have a feeling thats it only the start. so thats my week, love you all. Hope your week is just awesome.

another week down!! so many things happened that i dont know where to start! we took out another baptismal date with an elderly lady that we found. we had to let her know why we were there so thats exactly what we did. we explained who we were and why we are here serving, explained to her the covenant of baptism and took out a date. short and simple! and when we asked her she just said yes! and then asked what she had to take to get baptized, that is faith! another good moment this week was when we found antonio, he was just a contact that we made in the street. we started off with a pretty normal "hola somos  misioneros de la iglesia de jesucristo de los santos de los ultimos dias, compartimos un mensage que se centra en jesucristo y su evangelio..." (hello we are missionaries for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints , we share a message that focuses on Jesus Christ and his gospel) and the first thing he said was do you want to come in and drink some water, have a seat, get out of the sun. we invited him to the church and he accepted, he didnt show up but he seemed really nice and we will be returning soon.Brush and i took another trip to the argentine cemetery, we have some cool fotos that i need to send you all but i cant till next week:P i would have to say that when things are hard we just need to look at the good side of things. its so easy to look at the problems and trials and chaos that goes on all around us when its really so much better, easier and funner to look at the progress or good things in life. sure its hard sometimes but its possible! i love you all and hope you dont forget !

Anthony - March 4, 2015

Well, this week was good. Slow, long and boring, but good. Nothing big and exciting happened, at least not that I can remember. That the problem with having short-term shot-term memory loss. Or at least that is what I have, I can't remember. Anyways, Now for a remix of what happened last week and this week. Last wee we found this really cool guy, well more of he found us. His name is Marcos and we were walking down the road when this drunk guy approaches us and asks if we teach the  gospel. We say yes and he says he has some people for us to teach. we follow him and we walk and walk and walk some more. At one point I thought we were going to reach the end of the world. WE eventually get to his shack and take a seat. and by shack I mean the whole four walls and a roof. but nothing else. Its kinda sad. anyways we talk to him and he is super receptive and we keep passing by his house. He even went to church with us. He just super cool. WE also moved houses. WE have a room the size of our apartment for just my comp and me. We are also in our sector. so that super cool. we are living with some members, but we live behind the house in a little cottage thing. then for P-day this week we went paint-balling. It was awesome. I got shot and everything. It was awesome. Other then that the week was kinda boring.

Love you all and hope for your success.

this week has been both really great but then again its been interesting having to teach another missionary the area. its a little difficult to do divisions when someone doesn't know the area but it part of the learning process. elder brush and i have gotten a little more used to teaching together and its made our lessons a lot better! its fun to have to adjust to how other people teach and better the way you teach personally. i have learned a lot just by being a little more observative. its amazing how much we are able to learn when we humble ourselves and just listen to the advice that our leaders give us. i definitely have grown a testimony of how our mission president is inspired of the lord to put us with our companions. its like he knows what hes doing:P  This Sunday was the strongest i have ever felt the spirit in a testimony meeting!!! all of the youth that are helping us in the missionary work went up and gave there testimonies and also! we have two investigators that went up and bore their testimonies of the truth of the church. but i think what helped more than anything is that i had a really strong desire to really listen to the testimonies that were being given and they strengthened me so much. i guess i should start listening more, its something i can better. my companion and i are getting along really well, he was a marine before the mission so i started doing some workouts again... ive gotten so weak. but just like spiritually, there is always room to progress.

New Comp

so this week was another fast and great one with my brazilian companion, but now hes at home and enjoying brazilian stuff. most of the week was spent with elder doddema from montana. not really much to say this week, we have to move our baptismal date again:P but we are sure that he is still going to get baptized so we arent worried. my new companion is Elder brush haha im not sure if anyone remember him but we were in the same apartment back in parque baron! so when i heard that he was going to be my companion i didnt believe anyone. he might just be the one to get me doing exercises again jaja ive gotten lazy with those for about...17 months :D something funny, me and my companion elder venancio always scare the animals that we find in the streets. this week it was night time and our next victim was a cat. we had this all planned out to the point where we thought we had the cat surrounded i was on one side and he was on the other, as my companion went to jump at the cat his foot found an unexpected pothole and he ate dirt in front of a family we hadn't previously seen. i of course started laughing as my companion quickly stood up and started running. the worst part is that the cat got away but lets look at the good things in life hes okay and we had something to laugh about for 3 days. its a little short this week but thats life:P i love you all! have a great week!

Jesse - February 18, 2015

so i apologize for not letting you all know ahead of time but we weren't able to write on monday because it was a holiday. i cant remember if its the same in English but we had carnival here in argentina. nothing too big just another reason to stay home and drink some mate:P this was also the last full week that i would be with elder venancio, and we worked hard this week. at the beginning of the transfer we put a goal to have 30 lessons in at least one of the 6 weeks we had together, this week we met that goal. we had a total of 34! it was just a good feeling to help my companion finish his mission really strong! and even better than the numbers was that the lessons really helped and strengthened not only the investigators and less actives but it also helped us! one of the crazy things that happened this week was that we both got attacked by a pitbull, the stupid dog was mad because she was pregnant and just really protective i guess... but luckily we managed to get away from the dog and get some rocks in our hands. today we did get to eat at a all you can eat restaurant! there were some advantages to this place that we ate at! one it had sushi, asado, fish, salads and man it just made me a little home sick seeing so much food in one place for a low price! we were there for literally 2 hours. its raining right now like crazy so we will see if we get to play futbol. we have one baptismal date that we have set up for the 28 of this month i will let you know how that goes! other than that everything seems to be great! tomorrow i get to see who my new companion is going to be  so im stoked about that, another transfer down and only 3 more to go.
