Jesse - June 9
this week was better than the last week, things went by a little smoother and we actually entered some more houses:) still haven't found any new investigators or made any new baptismal dates but we are still working. with the new way of working for our mission we spend a lot more time working with the members and the less active members of the branch, and let me tell you, we have a lot of less active members to work with! the only things that really stood out this week was that after i got my bike fixed my companions broke.. which was mostly my fault:P i was riding on the back tire where the bolts are located, i tried adjusting my feet one second and then the next moment the bike dropped down about one foot lower and came to a stop. when i looked at the bike i started laughing so hard i sat down in the middle of the road. luckily it was night time and there were no cars:P turns out our weight bent the back tire in half spokes, rim and everything bent out to the side haha i have never laughed so hard in the mission. i even started having problems with my asthma from the cold and humidity too. ohh i got sick too and im still kinda recovering from it, not too sure what i had but every time i eat my stomach hurts really bad so i are less than normal this week but it should go away soon! and the lesson i learned for this week was to be thankful for the trials that heavenly father puts in our lives. it was a little hard to do for a while but now its getting a little easier to do. it doesn't do anything to put yourself down when things are hard. its better to keep looking up and wait for the blessings that are just beyond the trials. so still staying positive and loving the work more and more. transfers are this next Monday so we will see where i will be going or if i will be staying here in San Vicente, not sure what i personally want to do yet but i will just go where im called. my companion keeps telling me that im going to be called to be a district leader but i dont think im quite ready for that yet:P i can wait a little longer! we also got to go bowling for our last pday as a zone. i think we had a little too much fun. ill have to send pictures soon! but just know that i love everyone and i am still doing great!!!!!!:D

Sounds like everyone is having a blast it is great!! can you believe it is June it has just blown my mind the YEAR is half way over what is that all about? time is going by way to fast before you know it Christmas is going to be here.
Well mission life is great Sister Nelson and I have been working supper hard and we are finding miracles because of it. We have had pretty ruff week with people being willing to talk to us but we know that it is all on the Lords time. The sun has been out for two weeks and it feels amazing it even said it was hot one day, and i realized that Arizona is going to kill me when i get back. oh well just means I will have to move back to Seattle. man can i just tell yall how much i love Seattle it is pretty much the best city on the planet. The rain gets to you every once in a while because you are always wet but if you can make it to the summer man you will think you are in the garden of eden. It sadly is the most Godless city in the nation but thats ok i have 7 months to fix that! well i love you all and i am so grateful for your support. I love being a missionary its kind of a big deal!! and most of all i love my heavenly father who listen to us and loves us more than we can even imagine. how you all have a great week.Monday, June 2, 2014

its good to hear that everyone is doing good again! and the arizona heat has finally showed up! i already told dad but i really miss the Arizona heat! i would do anything to trade it for the weather here! the humidity here is terrible and just lets in all the cold, is doesn't matter how many layers i tend to put on it finds a way:P it mostly gets cold in the nights and then the sun comes out in the day and warms it up a little. but im pretty sure that colder weather is coming soon i just have to buy a really warm sweater or something. but other than the cold weather i am doing better than ever! a lot of things happened this week that really tried my faith but now more than ever i know that my heavenly father loves me and is watching over me. it doesn't matter how far down he lets me fall, if i do my part he will lift me higher than before. the closer that anthony gets to his mission the more excited i get as his brother! i just want to tell him how everything is in crazy detail but i know that as much as i say it wont come close to what he is going to experience in chile! im SO stolked for him!!! probably the saddest news we received this week is that the only worthy priesthood that we have in the branch is that of the 1st counselor in the bishopric and my companion and i. because the branch president is shipped in from another ward to help us out. so we are few but that makes my job that much more important. i need to live my life so that i can be the lords hands here on earth. and i can say that spiritually, I've never felt better:)

We have been trying to have new ideas on how to share the gospel and sister nelson and i decided to go and chalk the plan of salvation on the park side walks it was great and we have also been putting scriptures on the side walks around town. so if anyone gets bored at the dollar store maybe you could pick up some chalk for my companion and i. but these are all ideas. it has been really sunny lately and it has been great we have been seeing and talking with everyone we see the work is great and i love being a missionary its kind of a big deal!! well hope you all are having a great summer see you in almost 7 months.
